Third wooden baton

This is my third plywood baton/cosh...It's made from 2 sections of plywood, glued together, worked on lathe and on the end varnished with colorless lacquer so it shines pretty much. Just under the fingerslots, it has leather lanyard, so you can wrap it around your wrist and becomes allmost impossible to grab and take it out of hand.

It's about 400 milimeters long (15.7 inches) and biggest diameter is approximately 32.5 milimeters (1.28 inches).

  1. Why don't you make it out of a real hardwood such as lignum vitae or oak? Indeed police truncheons were almost always made from ironwood.
